Strong tempo with Western Wishes, Can't Catch Me and Mattiazo leading the way. WESTERN WISHES (1) quickened up well to win her last start over 1160m at Turffontein. She would have come on from the outing and should like the rise to 1600m. She gets the services of the 4kg claiming apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can follow up with another victory. GOLDEN ASPEN (3) was disappointing over 1450m last time. Her penultimate run when third over 1400m on this course was encouraging. Trent Mayhew steps back into the saddle and the combination can go close in this field. MATTIAZO (2) won her maiden over this course and distance last start, scoring by a long neck. Shaping up nicely and she should be fighting out the finish. SHEETS AND GOGGLES (5) finished fifth of nine over 1450m at this track last start. Likely improver with top-three claims.
