Lavender Macaron has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. LAS JUN (3) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 1500m at Funabashi, getting home by 2.5 lengths. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. SYMBOL THE SUN (12) dug deep to score two back then was beaten 2 lengths into second over 1400m at this track last time five weeks ago. Form over this course and distance is solid with a win and two minor placings from four starts. Well placed and should be in the finish. LAVENDER MACARON (7) proved too strong last start and scored by a neck over 1400m at this track. Yet to miss the frame in two starts over this course and distance. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Sure to be competitive. B B CHANCE (10) is back from a spell of 11 weeks. Raced once last campaign and finished third over 1600m at Funabashi. Makes plenty of appeal.
