Pace only fair with Inner Steel rolling to the lead ahead of Shin Believe and Al Mare City. COPANO MARRON (1) was too good for a maiden field last start over 1200m at Kyoto Dirt, scoring by 1.5 lengths. Mirai Iwata was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Looms as one of the hardest to beat again. SHIN BELIEVE (4) ran below expectations last time at Kyoto Dirt, finishing seventh and beaten 8 lengths starting at $3.80. Faces an easier assignment so he can find the winners' list. INNER STEEL (8) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1600m at this track, beaten 70 lengths. Has been in the money at each second up start. The engagement of H Yoshihara is a positive move. Finds a tougher race but a better run will not surprise. WIN BALIUS (10) hasn't featured at his last two runs, the latest when beaten 4 lengths into fifth at Niigata. Better placed this time and worth following up.
