Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but expect good early pressure. Of the raced division, LOFTY THOUGHTS (3) has shown the most. Resumes for the new barn and the speed-bred colt has shown plenty at the Geelong jump-outs. Placed as favourite in a Geelong Open 2 on debut and then tackled the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude. The colt is sure to have come on and he sets a decent standard. RAINY NIGHT (6) debuts and won a recent jump-out at Cranbourne. He's in a top metro barn, and it can get them going early. Should be right in it. Stablemate FARNANHEIT (1) debuted here on the grass, and it was a solid effort. He will have taken fitness and learning, and the longer sprint will suit. PRINCE DE VEGA (5) debuts for the premier stable with Coffey engaged. Keep onside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lofty Thoughts has the race form and experience.
