A solid tempo on the cards with Purple Rose taking charge. ZO FRILLING (5) recorded her fourth minor placing from six starts when a distant second over this trip at Newcastle last start. Still racing well deep into her maiden prep. Big chance to finally break through back in a country maiden. The speedy PURPLE ROSE (8) has led for home at each of her three runs to date, holding on for placings twice. Tackled this trip for the first time last start and did well to hang on for third at Newcastle. Open to further improvement and will prove tough to catch. DARN DEADLY (6) was handy into the straight but tired late and finished fifth when resuming over 1300m at Kembla recently. Beaten a length over this trip at Moruya when second-up last prep. Right in this. EROTAS (11) has been safely held in her two runs this prep but drops back from provincial to country grade so might be a big improver. SKIP A BEAT (2) can improve second-up from a long lay-off. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zo Frilling is ready to win.
