Speed should be right on over the 1000m journey. SAMOA (7) has not finished too far off the winner in recent runs. She raced from a prominent position over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time out and stayed on well to finish third of 10. Two of her seven career victories have come over this course and distance. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and she looks well placed to return to winning form. DANCING DORA (9) has been in the placings her past two starts, finishing second over 1200m at Turffontein Inside last time out. Three of her five career victories have come over this distance and has solid each-way claims. SMASHING (5) is better than her last start against male company as she was reported to be not striding out. Piere Strydom retains the ride which is encouraging and she can't be ignored. BREGARDT (4) ran a good race when finishing third of eight over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time out. Now that he is back in form should be included in exotic bets.
