Expecting Harriet to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. MATERIALIST (10) disappointed after a slow start at Ipswich but was narrowly beaten there prior in a strong-form race. That's a better indication of her ability. It's her first go on a wet track but she's hard fit and rates well. CASSETTE (11) peaks for a sharp metropolitan yard and has been freshened since a 2.4L defeat at Scone. She has an awkward barrier but Cahill is booked and she can improve into the finish. PRIDE OF VENUS (13) got closer at the Sunshine Coast last time and the longer sprint will suit. Maps well and is suited back to country grade. DISCOVER (1) would be fighting out the finish at best and comes back to a sprint following a freshen. He has been mostly racing in stronger maidens and may show more.
