Plenty of early pace from Vocation, Alf's Magic and September Girl primarily. MISSION RIDGE (1) is in good hands and resumed with a 1.5L defeat at Ipswich and is proven second-up. Has a handy 1.5kg claim and can position forward. A heavy track shouldn't be an issue. MONTE DRIFTER (2) missed a whisker twice and then delivered a CL3 at Grafton over this distance. Carries more weight but rates well and he can go back-to-back in average luck. BARCELONA EXPRESS (3) was back to his best narrowly beaten at Grafton first-up. He will improve off that but draws awkwardly and needs a good ride. THE LIGHT FANDANGO (6) has been off the scene for an age but was okay here first-up. May need another but is worth a look. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Mission Ridge.
