Expecting Buzz Saw to take up the running with Devious Mind and Constellation close at hand. Good competitive contest. BRUTAL MISS (4) resumes after a five month spell. Got off the mark on debut with a dominant win at the Gold Coast, then jumped sharply in grade at his two subsequent runs when failing to make an impression at the Sunshine Coast and Eagle Farm. Back with the one trial placing over 955m here. Everything points to a positive return. BUZZ SAW (2) comes here with race fitness on his side third-up. Recorded his first win on resumption at Taree, then worked hard early from the wide gate with a tiring third over 1007m at Taree. Will appreciate a firmer track and winning apprentice holds the ride. CONSTELLATION (3) excellent return with the 58kg for a tough third over 1006m at this track. Lone win came second-up and expected to go close. DEVIOUS MIND (9) blinkers and tongue-tie come off after he failed on the back-up with a fading eleventh over 1006m at this track. Goes into the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Brutal Miss can sprint well fresh from the inside gate.
