Plenty of pace from the outset with Mystical Gem and Our Huntress leading the charge. OUR HUNTRESS (1) filled a minor placing at her first six starts then led all the way for a comprehensive maiden win over 1200m at Eagle Farm last start. Has coped with this longer trip before. Building in confidence and is capable of taking this next step. WOOT WOOT (4) won a Doomben maiden over this distance three runs ago. Two subsequent efforts over the mile have been less impressive. Watch for a return to form with this step back in trip. EL CENTRO (2) has been in the money at both runs this prep, the latest a narrow defeat over 1200m at Rockhampton. Scored third-up last time in work so can improve further. HEROIC DELANEYS (7) has been struggling of late over longer trips. In the money at all four runs over today's journey so watch for a return to form. Hard to see any of the other runners playing a significant role. SUGGESTED PLAY: Our Huntress looks too good.
