Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Melissa Kate. STAR FORTIAN (9) was much better fourth-up when chasing gamely into the placings at Bordertown at a big quote. Gets a key switch in Crowther and rates a leading player. JUST LIKE LISA (5) doesn't win out of turn but is knocking on the door. Has the early pace to cross from the wide alley and be prominent throughout. Her best can break a long run of outs. MELISSA KATE (10) was beaten a fair way in fourth but it was tough going. Form prior stacks up, though the wide draw could see her get a long way back. GRUMPYOLDCOL (7) battled away soundly into a midfield finish in his stable debut. Gets in light again with the 4kg claimer engaged and is one to keep in mind. SUGGESTED PLAY: Star Fortian each-way.
