Small field but plenty of pace engaged, including Rulesque, Power To Rule and The Top Bar. CLOSE TALKER (1) was well off best when tackling a similar distance last time. Has a good record here and maps for a sweet trail behind a strong pace. Has the claimer go aboard and is well worth another chance. SHASFA (4) sat on speed over 1300m at this track two weeks ago and returned to winning form with a determined win. First try at this slightly longer journey but has the claim and will give a sight again. TOPAZ (5) was comfortably accounted for when third last time out over 1400m at Derby, beaten 4 lengths. Was a strong winner here the start prior, beating a few of these. That was only only try over course and distance and expected to go close again. RULESQUE (3) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, one behind Topaz and the latest behind Shasfa. Has the inside and will take catching again. THE TOP BAR (2) turned in a better run last time and will give backers a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Close Talker can atone.
