Expecting a strong gallop with Forrest Gump and Boulder Jack taking up the running over Pharoah's Glory. Open race. FORREST GUMP (1) is a lightly raced gelding who got the maiden out of the way at Wodonga last time out. Drawn wide here but can roll forward and repeat the dose, especially with a couple of key dangers coming out. SQUARE DEAL (7) might be the danger now. He's stuck on the 1 win from 10 starts but is going consistently this time in, up to 1760m at Geelong last time when running on well into fourth. This looks a shade easier and he'll take plenty of holding out. PHAROAH'S GLORY (8) was okay onto synthetic at Ballarat last time, over 2100m. Comes back a long way in trip which is a tricky scenario but respecting on prior form. BOULDER JACK (5) has won two on the bounce and will give a sight up on speed again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Forrest Gump to win.
