Pace looks sure to be genuine with Flying Bat and Saint Aldwyn matching motors, closely followed by San Gabriel.
HUSH HUSH (11) looked good winning at Kembla Grange when resuming before not being too far away in Sydney Saturday grade last time out. Looks very well placed here and gets Maloney on board to navigate from the sticky draw. Has the class to figure prominently. VALOROUS POWER (4) is another that has been performing in harder Sydney contests and will be ready to peak now third run back from the break. Gets 2kg off with the claim and must be respected out of the Lees yard. SAINT ALDWYN (7) has hit a purple patch of form with two wins and three placings from his past five starts and is usually thereabouts. Top-three contender. EMPRESS OF JAPAN (16) has gotten better with each run this campaign and appears to be building up to another victory. In the mix. SAN JOSE BOY (5) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on.
