Good early pressure anticipated with a large contingent of unraced runners. DEFENSEMEN (1) is a well-bred colt resuming for the Waller camp. Never really got going in his debut prep, last sighted finish out the back in the 2YO Inglis Millennium. Strips fitter for two recent trials where there hasn't been much asked from him but he's found the line well. Collett is a good booking from the middle draw. Bold showing anticipated. Stablemate KLOCKE (2) knuckled down strongly to just miss here as favourite nine days ago. Backs up quickly and can go one better. BY NAPOLEAN HILL (3) only got clear late when closing off strongly into the placings at the Illawarra Grange. Better for that and gets a key switch in Rawiller from a good draw. Have to take seriously. ELIO (5) stuck on soundly into the placings fresh and should be better now with that run under his belt. Blinkers going on should have sharply away. Debutant BROTHERS IN ARMS (4) has shown enough in his lead-up work to warrant safe keeping too. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Defensemen at a good price.
