Good speed anticipated with a large contingent of first starters lining up.
Tricky race to kick off the card with many of these babies facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade PRETTY SMASHING (10) just ran into one better at the Sunny Coast on debut before being tipped out for further time to furnish. Revved up for this with a recent trial placing and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Goes on top. APEX PREDATOR (2) is on debut but looked handy winning a recent trial and is sure to be well-educated out of the Hoysted barn. Keep very safe. The well-bred MISATO (6) (dam was a G2 winner) brings NSW trial form to the table and gets some weight relief with the 2kg claim. Respect any market confidence. ADORA DJON'S (1) is the most experienced runner in the field and will strip fitter second-up from the break. In the mix. SEAGOE (13) next in line from the favourable draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Pretty Smashing.
