WOODENBRIDGE (5) returns for the Ryan & Alexiou partnership and looks to have come on a treat during the break, fitter for two nice trials. Draws the A1 and can make an immediate impact. CONSULATE (7) also returns. Strips fitter for two sneaky trials where she's been ridden quietly. Gets in light with the gun apprentice Grima's 2kg claim and draws well. Suspect she makes her presence felt. DEMERZEL (2) was poised to strike on debut but just lacked a fitness edge late. Better for that and should land in front with Clark on for the familiar stable. LONE PIPER (4) is an I Am Invincible filly on debut for the Waller yard. Has shown enough at the trials to suggest she can play a role and the Berry booking signals intent. Not underestimating. SUGGESTED PLAY: Playing both Woodenbridge & Consulate.
