Not much early pressure but Quamby, Oak Beach and Durban Harbour can take up forward spots. BEACH PAD (1) can win again. The heavy ground first up at Warrnambool was a bridge too far but he bounced back with a strong win at Swan Hill over their carnival, settling back and coming clear to score by 1.3 lengths. 1800m third up looks ideal. OAK BEACH (8) is racing well without winning, no match for an easy winner at Mornington over 2000m last time but holding second well. The Freedman stable are struggling at the moment but that'll turn. NATURAL RULER (4) is another Freedman galloper who is coming off a win at Sale over Rockette, who went on to win well at Flemington. Tough draw but look for him late. RASP (3) won narrowly at Geelong as favourite when last seen and has claims for the double while DURBAN HARBOUR (7) will be fitter and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Beach Pad on top.
