GOING: H(8)

XXXX GOLD Class 1 Plate 1650m

Track: HEAVY 8   Clouds (Max: 21)   Rail: +9m Entire.

Good tempo expected with Woot Woot, Caishen and Carnegie Hill rolling forward. The well-related THE BIG BLUE (3) (half to 2xG3 winner and G1 placed Annavisto) is a former NSW galloper who was a touch disappointing at Hawkesbury last time out but the form prior was full of merit. Will find this easier than what he faced below the border and a sharp spike in form is expected. BONUS SEASON (7) didn't measure up in Listed grade at the latest outing but the three Victorian runs to start the campaign were very consistent. Can bounce right back without surprising. CAISHEN (1) will be ready to peak now third-up from the break and the step-up in trip suits. Top-three aspirations. GOLDEN EYES (8) broke the maiden status in impressive fashion last start and winning hoop Thompson stays in the stirrups. Can go right on with it now. NINJASK (5) next best despite the sticky draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 3,7,1,8.
