In the absence of noted leaders, K T Yui and Fanta Festa may be the ones to set a moderate tempo. MARRON LUPINUS (10) turned in a modest performance when third last start over 1400m at Kawasaki, beaten 3.5 lengths. That followed a good first-up win at Kawasaki. Goes up a rung or two but she is good enough. SEIUN KOCHO (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths into seventh. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. FANTA FESTA (8) returned from a spell three weeks ago when she was in contention on the corner before being beaten 6 lengths into fifth over 1400m at this track. Fitter this time. Hard to beat in this suitable race. MISSILE BISCUITS (11) finished tenth over 1400m at Kawasaki at her most recent appearance on January 3. Definite top-three chance.
