MCLOVIN (13) sharp improver at his second run back when jumped in trip for a game fourth over 1400m at Tamworth. Drops in trip and weight from the good barrier with the key jockey change. Value prospect. SOMERTON SMART (5) resumes for his second prep. Undefeated in two starts after gapping his rivals by big margins in easier grade. Returns with the one 900m trial win and can overcome the wide gate with the claim. Leading prospect. HONEY PERFUME (4) returned off the long break with a slashing second over 1000m at Hawkesbury in a good rating contest. Fitter now from the low draw and expected to go close. SHOTGUN BELLA (7) underrated mare resuming. Stretched out to the 1600m last prep at provincial level and must be kept safe with the good fresh record. Strong trial winner over 1000m at Wyong.
