Genuine tempo from Backbeat leading Asagao. BEST FIELD (1) was prominent in the run and gave a sight when fresh from a spell last start, finishing second over 1400m at this track. Has never been out of the placings at the second run back from a spell from three tries and should be fitter with a run under the belt. Winning chance. BACKBEAT (7) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Kawasaki, finishing second and only 2.5 lengths from the winner at the end of 1400m after being in contention on the bend. Going up a level this time but he is good enough to play a major role. NERAIUCHI (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 4 lengths into fifth. Nicely placed to get the prize. STOIC NOAH (5) turned in a solid run last time when boxing on to finish fourth at Funabashi. Suited at the longer journey now and can run a cheeky race at odds.
