Expecting Uni Queen and Mister Popcorn to pair off in front. SKY GOD (8) won well two back before closing nicely over 1900m. Now out to this trip for the first time, but it doesn't look an issue on his recent performances. Gets in with no weight on his back and can return to winning ways. DUCHEES DEMERIT (5) is better than he showed last time out in Saturday grade and he'll find this much easier. Faithfull remains in the saddle and while he hasn't won for a while, he's right on the cusp. Can put his best foot forward. PRAY AGAIN (4) got a long way back in the Esperance Cup and didn't feature, but he was in good form prior to that. Should get a much softer run this time around for McNaught and a return to his best form will see him hard to hold out. DEADLY AND FAST (1) got the job done in the Mt Barker Cup last time out and rates highly on that effort. Won't be far away. WAR MATTERS (11) is better than he showed last time out and can return to winning ways with the drop in grade. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sky God gets the nod in the last.
