Black Storm to set a strong tempo booting up inside Mosgold and Grey Lad. BLACK STORM (3) will run along from the inside barrier and two back was narrowly beaten over this trip in a 78 at Caulfield. He's won a Bendigo jumpout since last seen, and Michael Rodd is down from Queensland to ride. Suited, and he's going to be tough to peg back. Stablemate BLAZING SWORD (10) has been racing with great heart and lifted strongly to score easily over 1600m at Corowa at his most recent appearance. Won this track/trip prior and keeps getting better. The niggle is the wide barrier, but he has an outstanding record this track and trip and the top course striker stays aboard. COUNTY KILKENNY (12) jumped slowly and didn't do a bad job over 1500m in a 66 at Goulburn. Delivered a strong number and will be fitter again. He will sit closer today and Cahill replaces the 2kg apprentice. MOSGOLD (6) is fast early and can clear the wide barrier. Bounced straight back winning a 68 over 1400m at Kembla Grange, and she can give a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Black Storm to win.
