Genuine tempo anticipated with good speed engaged. SPRING TRADITION (6) stayed on well when third in his last start over 1600m on the Turffontein Inside course. Rachel Venniker takes 1.5kgs off his back which will assist his cause. He will strip much fitter and looks hard to beat. WINTER WAVES (8) was running on well when third of nine here over 1200m last time. Three of his eight career victories have come over this course and distance. With a bit of luck in the running he should fight out the finish. VOLDEMORT (10) found one too good on the day last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. With a bit of luck from the widest draw he should finish in the money. PALERMO (4) ran a strong race when resuming from a spell last time out over 1600m at this track, finishing second. Has started twice at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Well placed and has to be considered.
