Good pace from Lyrical Beauty, Magna Mak and Sargeant Stan and they'll have company. SARGEANT STAN (4) showed a ton of speed to lead when resuming over 1200m at Wagga last start but tanked late and missed the placings. Strips fitter, drops 4kgs after the claim, and draws the fence so he will be hard to reel in coming back to five furlongs. MAGNA MAK (1) went hard to lead by a clear margin but offered little in the run home last time out over this distance at Wagga. The other two runs this prep had plenty of merit, including a win over 900m here first-up. Definitely worth another chance. LYRICAL BEAUTY (3) went well when returning from a long break at Goulburn two back then wasn't good enough at Wyong most recently. Can bounce back in this more suitable contest. SERENADING (7) won here when resuming two back then faced defeat for the first time when out of the money over this distance at Wagga in a Class 3 eight weeks ago. Back in grade and is best it seems when fresh so can make amends. NARCISSIST (2) caught the eye in a similar race here last start. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sargeant Stan on top but there are six or seven decent hopes.
