Strong tempo from the outset as a number of them push forward, with Whirlybird, Dezire and Royal Horizon leading the charge. GREAT NOTION (2) challenged strongly when third of 11 over 1160m at Turffontein last time. She finished third in her only attempt over this distance. She drops back in class and rates well as a leading chance. FLIGHT OF A CONDOR (3) is better than her last start run over 1160m at Turffontein would suggest. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this course and distance. She runs well for Trent Mayhew and the combination merit healthy respect. DEZIRE (7) impressed when successful on debut over 1200m at this track last start. She looks a promising type of a filly who can measure up again. TANA MAREE (12) won as the hot favourite two runs ago at this track over 1200m but failed to fire last start when eighth over 1600m at Turffontein Inside. Looks well placed in this line-up to return to form.
