THE ST ANDREW'S CHALLENGE QUAICH (HANDICAP) 1200m

Track: GOOD     Out 11 metres  

Good early pressure for top spot with Fatal Blow or Metro Warrior likely to take up the running. FATAL BLOW (5) turned in a great debut effort over this course and distance despite jumping a $14 chance, just missing out by 1L there. The figures were good from that race and the form has been franked already. He's had a sneaky trial since his debut and he has found a winnable race today. GLORY CLOUD (4) just missed over this course and distance last start when beaten a lip on the line. He was favourite there and Bowman remains in the saddle. Does rise a kilo at the weights but should be going close if he can hold his form. GIMME FIVE (11) disappointed last start over this course and distance but his prior runs are right up to the mark. He draws nicely for Ho and he can play a major role down in the weights. THE PERFECT MATCH (2) gets J-Mac in the saddle now and looks an improver third-up.
