Off the low draw Optimal Moments should lead at a genuine tempo. OPTIMAL MOMENTS (4) first-up for the new yard he faded late from the outside gate with a respectable second over 1400m at Canberra. Cross-over nose band goes on for this and should prove to slick for these from the low draw. PROPANE (5) hot and cold gelding who will find this easier fifth-up. Went back from the wide barrier and failed to get into the contest with a battling ninth over 1600m at Hawkesbury. No excuses in this weaker contest. FIRE ISLAND (9) frustrating mare who was in need of the run first-up with a battling seventh over 1400m at Canberra. Placed at this trip and quickly running out of chances. THUNDER LIGHTS (8) steps out to this trip for the first time in what looks an easier race. Even performance with the 58.5kg when fourth over 1450m at Muswellbrook. No surprise to see him finish in the money. SUGGESTED PLAY: Optimal Moments can stamp his class.
