A solid tempo on the cards with Miko Castana taking charge. MEET THE TARGET (9) was a determined maiden winner last time out, scoring by one length over 1230m at this track. Looks well placed and she is a key runner. MIKO CASTANA (7) showed early speed from an outside draw and held a forward position before fading to finish fourth, beaten 4.5 lengths, last start over 1400m at this track. Expected to be in this for a long way. MEISHO PISUKARI (1) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten 5 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. KURINO KUCHAN (8) resumes from a spell of eight months and is having his first outing under new trainer Tadaaki Hashimoto. Finished eighth at Kyoto Dirt over 1400m at the opening run last time in work, have to respect this level.
