Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a genuine tempo. SLAY QUEEN (7) resumed at Canberra for the new yard and found a place working forward from a wide gate. Maps well today and may be the one to lead this field. He has more to give and will be tough to beat. GROUNDCOVER (2) jumped slowly and didn't do too bad a job at Canberra on debut. He'd been beaten less than 2L in a Beaumont trial in February, and will be tougher to beat, stripping fitter and racing at home. SHARBINO (5) resumes today and lost his rider at Bathurst when last seen. Rates strongly on his previous form and was just beaten in a recent trial at Warwick Farm. Draws low but has been giving way starts. That's the niggle around here. BURN SUGAR BURN (8) debuts for a local barn and just missed in a recent Canberra trial. Budler sticks from that and she's likely to race well. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Slay Queen.
