Syracuse, Chica and Neffu will not hold back as they vie for the lead from Buccino and Pinky Pie. CHICA (11) fought on gamely for second at Te Rapa nearly 3 weeks ago, following on from a fair debut fifth at Matamata. All of her trials have been in a clockwise direction, and she can go one better here. O'HELLO (3) did not let down as expected at Ellerslie last start when peaking late on his effort. He has less time between runs, and he has solid top 3 claims. Stick with him. BUCCINO (7) was narrowly beaten fresh up, and was not far away when fifth at Te Rapa nearly 3 weeks ago over 1100. She tries 1400m for the first time, and should be included in all combos. PINKY PIE (20) needed her fresh up run at Arawa Park nearly 6 weeks ago, and gets into this field off the ballot. A good draw will ensure that she will be very competitive. Each way. FEINT TO EAST (14) makes her debut off the back of a recent easy trial win at Pukekohe. Craig Grylls picks up the ride.
