Expecting Tsarina Diamonds to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. TSARINA DIAMONDS (12) continues to race well without winning, boxing on gamely at Warracknabeal when back in trip to finish third. Now rises back to a more suitable journey and draws the pole to jump and run in the lead. Takes plenty of catching. TOSEN IMPACT (4) put in a good effort at Warrnambool last time out when hitting the line well over 1700m. Drawn nicely to trail the speed here, the extra trip should play right into his hands. FUMAGE (6) put in a better effort at Swan Hill last start over 1600m and gave the indication this trip would suit, which she gets to for the first time. Must respect her from the good draw for the top yard. SUPER GROOVEY (11) was okay out to this sort of trip at Moe and has minor claims while ELLIS BEACH (2) could improve on a firmer deck. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tsarina Diamonds to win.
