Several of these have good gate speed so a strong tempo is expected. SHOTGUN BELLA (7) progressive mare resuming. Created a big impression on debut when tagging the good speed before finishing over the top of them at this track over 1200m. Has impressed in the last two trials and ticks plenty of boxes today. BALLY ISLE (5) strengthened up over the break and doesn't have to improve much to win this fourth up. Buckley rides again from the inside barrier and expected to go close. RAW GOLD (8) broke through for a well-deserved maiden win at Scone over 1000m at start twenty-five. Adept in all conditions and must be kept safe. ALMOST MAYBE (1) in need of the run first up in an unsuitable race when a poor sixth over 900m at Newcastle in BM64 class. Leading apprentice sticks and gets a much better run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shotgun Bella to resume a winner.
