It could be a trot and canter given the lack of pace engaged. FUWARI (9) had no luck off a wide gate at Hamilton on a heavy surface, but her form prior stacks up nicely. Came from the back to miss a whisker at Cranbourne prior, and four back she was nudged out over 2600m at Ballarat. The inside gate is a slight query, but we know she will run it right out. TULCHAN (7) came back in distance at Bendigo and ran his best race. Placed this trip at Swan Hill three back and he will be in the finish with average luck in the run. Ditto THREE REEL ROSES (14), who found one much too good at Geelong over this journey, as a short-priced favourite. Her near miss over 2600m at Ballarat prior reads well enough. COWARRIE (2) will be better for his two starts to date over middle distances. He covered ground the latest and the barn knows how to prepare them for staying trips. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Fuwari.
