Star Magnum, Mr Cashman and Mr Have A Chat to take up the running at a decent tempo. RISING SPHERE (1) will be resuming from a spell and is normally very competitive at this level. He comes to hand quickly, and in a 5-horse field, he is the one to beat. STAR MAGNUM (2) has run out of condition in his first couple of starts back from a spell and should be nearing his peak fitness third up. He has the blinkers on for the first time, and he is expected to be right in the finish this time. MR HAVE A CHAT (3) was back in winning form here nearly a fortnight ago when scoring by a nose. He has 3kg less to carry this time after a claim, and there is no reason why he can't repeat the dose. MR CASHMAN (5) is another very consistent gelding when fit, and he did not have the best of runs here 5 weeks ago. He is nicely placed after a 1.5kg claim and deserves plenty of respect. SIAKAM (4) has been freshened up since a couple of disappointing efforts earlier in the season. He might want more ground but can never be totally ruled out of a top 3 finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Star Magnum each -ay.
