Top Bird and Wendt should set a strong gallop. THE WOLF (4) is down in grade on recent runs. Showed pace but tired close to home when sixth last start in a BM82 over 1175m at Grafton. Best form comes at this trip so back in a BM66 he makes plenty of appeal. PRESSALONG (8) opened this campaign with a couple of wins then had a six-week break before failing over 1200m at the Gold Coast last time. Good wet tracker who strips fitter and is proven here at this trip. EGOTISTIC (11) returned from a ten-month spell with an eye-catching third in heavy going last start over 1106m at Grafton. The winner of three from six at this distance. Beautifully drawn and looks a serious threat. TOP BIRD (10) led all the way to score convincingly over this course and distance last start when fresh from a seven-week break. Comes off a similar lay-off today and should be competitive again. TE PANI (9) has placed two from four when fresh so keep her in mind off a four-month absence. SUGGESTED PLAY: This looks ideal for The Wolf.
