Mawsons Expedition and Signature Tart possess good early speed. Pretty weak race after the scratchings. MAWSONS EXPEDITION (3) is first-up from a 197-day spell for new trainer Samantha McGuren. Opened last prep with a close second after leading over 805m at Coffs Harbour. Should roll to the front and will be hard to catch. CASTLE OF CARDS (9) has been freshened up since working home well for fourth over this distance at Grafton five weeks ago. A repeat of that effort will be good enough to put her right in the finish. HARE STREET (2) raced handy then battled on well for third in heavy going over 1106m at Grafton recently. Very fit and will handle the ground so he is right in contention. BOLD ZARA (8) is a Zousain first starter. Not asked for much at her trials. Watch the betting. KIRRA'S SISTER (10) is first-up from a 190-day break for a new stable. Placed at Ipswich on debut last prep so might come to hand quickly. Cluster's General and Signature Tart raced on Saturday so will probably come out. They are 1-2 if they do race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mawsons Expedition to lead all the way.
