BADGERS NUTS (6) settled handy and looked the winner until claimed right on the line last start in an open handicap at the Gold Coast over 1400m. New to this trip but he loves wet tracks and back in a Benchmark race with 55.5kgs he makes plenty of appeal. CHANGE THE DATE (8) has been struggling of late in firmer going. Last appeared on a rain affected track in early February and finished third over 1410m at Grafton. Capable of turning things around. SUKHBIR (7) finished a long way behind Badger's Nuts when they met over 1400m at Coffs Harbour twenty-nine days ago. Better placed out to this journey and his wet track form reads well. Likely improver. SHERRIFF CODY (5) is up sharply in distance at his third run back. Savaged the line at both runs this prep and gets to a more suitable trip this afternoon. GENETIC FREAK (4) ran a better race at Eagle Farm last time and should be peaking at the fourth run back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Badger's Nuts.
