Expecting Nature Boy to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. YA LOVE HER (7) was fifty-three days between runs when a close sixth over 1800m at Bathurst last start. Tackling a better race today but he strips fitter, drops 4kgs, and will appreciate getting out to this distance. HAMMOON THUNDER (2) started favourite but offered little in the run home at Taree eleven days ago. Looking very one-paced these days so an extra 400m here might spark a return to form. NATURE BOY (4) enjoyed the step up in trip when a game second after leading over 2200m at Grafton recently. Won't have any trouble with today's journey so the veteran of 116 starts is a serious contender. SHADOW SHOT (3) has been finding the line well of late in slightly shorter races. One to keep an eye out for in the concluding stages. D'ORO CHOICE (1) was game in defeat at Dubbo last time and looks ready for a first tilt at twelve furlongs. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ya Love Her a nice each-way bet at attractive odds.
