HAKUSAN HANABI (2) finished 5.5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1000m at Niigata when first up from a spell. Steps up in distance today. Meets an inferior line-up and is the one to beat. FESTIVE IRIS (1) returns from a spell of nine weeks and is having her first run for a new yard. Finished ninth at Fukushima over 1200m when first-up last time in work. Will be tuned-up for this and is expected to run well. BACHELOR PARTY (11) has switched yards since finishing 15th a month ago over 1200m at Chukyo Dirt. One of the genuine hopes in the race. VIRTUAL IDOL (3) is returning from a spell of five-and-a-half months. Finished 17th at Hanshin over 1600m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Kazuyoshi Kato.
