Not seeing a great deal of early speed. Good little race with some handy types set to do battle. SAV ON ICE (3) has really come of age this winter and he looks well placed to win again if the track is soft or heavy. He's enjoyed getting his toe into the ground and has posted dominant wins in recent starts. He's versatile so Todd Pannell can ride him as he jumps from the wider gate. Both runs from CONCORDE (4) this campaign have been full of merit and he's maintained fitness with a trial between runs. He is capable of running in the money. BRAVE STAR (2) went close last time and can go into wider plays, while MERCHANT BOSS (5) who ran a solid race last time when a nose back in second over 1600m at Murray Bridge can make the top three again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Sav On Ice to win again.
