Solid tempo with Flavius to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. EXPULSION (12) is overdue and looks well placed in this. Gave a sight in tougher company latest when found one better. Looks hard to beat on recent form. HIGHSTRUNG (11) was solid fresh then raced on speed and just edged out last time. Ready to win and will be in this for a long way. CALIFORNIA FLYER (5) is fitter for two runs in and both have been in richer company and both tracks at Sandown. Returns to home track and can improve sharply. FLASH ALICE (6) was prominent at the turn and finished third last start over 1230m at Geelong. Has a tricky gate to overcome but is close to a maiden success. FLAVIUS (16) wasn't well away on debut but quickly mustered speed and gave a sight before being swamped late. Trained here and looks a likely improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with Expulsion.
