A race that lacks early pressure on paper. RERAITAM (3) finished third behind Last Man at this track over this distance at his latest outing. Has a terrific record here with two wins and two placings from four starts. Must be respected. THUMBS UP (2) travelled just behind the leader before taking over and scoring a determined win by a neck over 1600m here last time. Will go forward and should be in the finish again. WIN DARK ROSE (8) raced on the speed last start over this course and distance and stuck on well to finish third, beaten 2.5 lengths. The engagement of Tatsunori Sugawara is a positive move. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. NOBU (1) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track, beaten 4 lengths into sixth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
