Poor race. SORANI WARAEBA (2) was fourth on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1800m at Niigata, beaten 7 lengths into seventh. First try on the dirt and expected to go close this easier company. Strong winning hope. IKIFUN (11) stepped out on his debut over 1800m at Fukushima two months ago and finished seventh, beaten 12 lengths. Expected to improve sharply in this moderate race. GERANIUM (1) was safely held on debut over 2000m at Niigata last start, finishing tenth and beaten 12 lengths. Expected to do far better this time. HIGH TRACTION (3) raced once in the maiden preparation when 12th at Tokyo Dirt over 1400m back on June 14. Will be better for that run and is expected to go well.

EIFER MARINE (10) was beaten for early speed on debut last start but hit the line nicely to get up for second over 1600m at Niigata. Breaks from a wide draw but he is worth following up. YODONO PREMIUM (9) will find this a little easier than his third on debut four weeks ago, beaten 4 lengths at the end of 1600m at Niigata. Will benefit from that experience so he will prove tough to beat. PREMA MADONNA (1) debuted seven weeks ago when she finished eighth over 1600m at Niigata, beaten 3 lengths. Improver who can feature in the finish. INTO THE BLUE (2) is a promising maiden who looks close to a win, finishing fourth on debut then placing over 1800m at Sapporo last time out. Well placed and can feature in the finish.

MIKKI THOUSAND (15) returned last time with a solid third at Niigata Dirt over 1200m after being prominent at the corner. Likely improver with winning claims. HANG ROSE (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 1.1 lengths into fourth after being in contention on the bend. Nicely placed to get the prize. TSUKUBA VANGUARD (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1700m at Sapporo Dirt, beaten 7 lengths into fourth after being prominent at the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects. ERI SNOW (9) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 1200m at Niigata Dirt. This looks a good race for her and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways.

HISHI NASQUILLO (16) is back after a break of 12 weeks. At the last run before the layoff she finished eighth over 1800m at Hakodate. Just missed at only fresh run which was also this trip. Likely to play a major role. ELU GRACE (11) finished 2.25 lengths adrift in fifth when resuming from a spell last start over 2000m at Niigata. Placed at her only other second up appearance. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Best figures should see her run well. NIGHT BIRD (12) is a seven-start maiden who is knocking on the door, the latest effort a solid second at Niigata over 2000m. Likely improver with strong prospects. COSMO ARPEGGIO (13) finished third last start over 2000m at Niigata, beaten 1.75 lengths. In the right race and is a key runner.
5 12:10 Newcomer Race 1600m
BLUE DROP (4) is a two-year-old filly by Lord Kanaloa out of Iris Feel set to debut for the Toshiaki Tajima stable. Should be primed for a strong showing. Keep an eye on betting. GRIMALKIN (5) is on debut for the Masatoshi Tsukazaki stable. Two-year-old colt by Leontes from Twirling Wildcat. Leading prospect on face value, with betting holding the key. SATONO HAKUMAI (8) is a first-starter by Silver State from Pole Position who has produced a high percentage of winners-to-runners. Promising type who is sure to be well-found in betting. ONE MORE TIME (9) is appearing for the first time. By Epiphaneia and is out of the Y Shikato stable. Watch the market closely.

SOTTO MATSUMOTO (7) is on debut for the Masahiro Takeuchi stable. Two-year-old filly by Van Gogh from Vermelho. Looks set to run well. Betting watch recommended. REVE DE LION (1) is a two-year-old colt facing the starter for the first time. Who was purchased for JPY ¥ 34,100,000 (Japan Sales 2025 Hokkaido Selection Sale Yearlings) out of Group 1 winner Bel Air Sizzle. Should make a bright start to his career. LONDON CALLING (9) is on debut. By Espoir City and is out of the K Maki stable. Expected to feature. ARBORVITAE (2) is on debut. By Four Wheel Drive and hails from the Yasuo Takeichi stable. Top-three chance.

Several of these close to wins. KASHIMA RAIFU (14) wound up strongly only to just miss as favourite last start over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Put the writing on the wall last time. tricky draw but will go close. SANGRANT (9) went forward last start over 1800m at Niigata Dirt and held on well for second, beaten 1.5 lengths. Has his share of talent. Overdue for a win. Right in the mix again. GOLD PLAYER (3) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished third, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Placed all three this time in. Best form should see him measure right up. INTO THE WIND (4) ran below expectations last time out when 13th over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt. Sure to do much better.
8 01:40 Allowance Race 2500m
MEINER AURUM (8) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race when fresh from a spell last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 2 lengths over 2400m at Niigata. Placed 3/3 second-up and expected to go close. VULCAN TESORO (1) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 2000m at Fukushima, scoring by a neck. Shaping up nicely and he cannot be underestimated. YAMANIN HERRSCHE (5) is a progressive three-year-old colt who hasn't raced since finishing second over 2600m at Fukushima on June 28 which was the only run of that prep. Has a strong fresh record including a win and one minor placings. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Should be involved in the finish. BELTRACCHI (13) turned things around last start and got the job done by 5 lengths over 2400m at Niigata. Well placed to feature in the finish again.
9 02:10 ONJUKU TOKUBETSU 1600m
CHANSON D'OR (12) started favourite and went forward off a wide gate. Endured a tough run and gave a great sight before finishing third over 1600m at Niigata. Should be prominent in the run despite the wide draw again. Fitter and will go close. KISS AND CRY (13) showed good early speed and raced on the pace when first-up after a spell last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1800m at Niigata. Won only try second-up. Well placed and expected to feature. LO QUE VENDRA (2) recorded a strong on-speed win last time by 1.75 lengths over this journey at Chukyo. Among the main hopes. HO O CINDERELLA (1) finished fourth over 2000m at Fukushima at her most recent appearance on June 28. Among the better hopes.

DANTSU FIGHTER (10) has not appeared since he finished second over 1800m at Hakodate on July 11. Course and distance winner. Tricky gate but has good early speed and expected to take catching. SHONAN SOMEDAY (8) is close to a win with two recent placings, the latest when third over 2000m at Sapporo. Sound record at this distance with two wins and three minor placings from seven runs and is among the leading chances. LULU LIMA (3) comes here fresh from an all-the-way win by a nose over today's journey at Fukushima on July 19. Strong performer at this stage of the prep with a win and two minor placings from four attempts. Good record at this journey with two wins and four minor placings from eight starts and is expected to be competitive. DEL AVAR (1) returned from a spell five weeks ago when he was beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth over 1800m at Niigata. Fitter so a likely improver.
11 03:30 RADIO NIPPON SHO 1200m
GALE RIDER (10) is having his first run since July 4. Has a strong record when fresh with two wins from four runs, the most recent over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt at the start of last prep. Has the ability and expected to play a major role. BLAZAR (9) is back at the races for the first time since May 3. Scored over 1200m at this track at the start of last prep. Goes very well fresh. Form shown last campaign makes for good reading. YUKIMARU (15) missed the placings first up recently but was not too far from the winner when fifth over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt. Fitter and is right in the mix. POULSEN (14) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on June 20, finishing fourth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt. Definite top-three chance.

YOUR FELICITY (12) returns from a layoff of four months. Course and distance winner and goes well fresh. Anticipating a bright start to this prep. GENEROUS KING (13) finished fourth last time out over 1700m at Sapporo Dirt, beaten 7 lengths. Credentials hard to fault and can bounce back. INNER PASSION (8) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 9 lengths when fourth in a 1800m contest at Niigata Dirt four weeks ago. Has the class to figure prominently. YODONO TAIYO (14) has put together back-to-back placings after scoring three back at Sonoda, most recently beaten 1.75 lengths into second over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Continues to race well. Well placed to take this out.
