NUM TIME COMMENT
1 05:38 TOOWOOMBA SOFTBALL BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1000m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Command Approved. MISHANI EXTREME (8) started at $4.60 last time but could only manage eighth, beaten 2 lengths, at Ipswich over 1100m. Rock-hard fit for this and draws favourably in gate three. Backmarker who keeps coming and his best form puts him right in this contest. CRYPTO MISS (11) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 1.3 lengths back in fourth over 1000m at Eagle Farm. Will be handy in the run and should give backers a sight. The well-related JACKA STANDS ALONE (6) (half to 2xG3 winner and G2 placed Raiment) just missed the frame when fourth last start over 1210m at this track. Has a very good record here including two wins from four starts and shapes as one of the leading contenders. BLANTONS RUN (3) returns from a layoff of four months. Scored over 1000m at this circuit to launch the last campaign. Boasts a first-up record of two wins and two placings from seven attempts and rates a definite top-three chance while fresh.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 8,11,6,3.
2 06:11 GRAHAM NIELSEN CONSTRUCTION QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200m
Zeddich to take charge ahead of O'reillys Flight at a solid tempo. MAGRITTE (2) held on well to finish second when first-up from a break last time out over 1200m at Beaudesert after leading for much of the way. Strips fitter second-up from the spell and is sure to go very well. TUXEDO TORPEDO (1) has been in the money two times including last start on August 29 when second over 1300m at this track. Yet to miss the top-three in two runs at this venue and can play a major role in the outcome. MISHANI CABELLO (10) finished 8 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1000m at Gold Coast two weeks ago. Steps up in distance today and gets in well at the weights with the 1.5kg claim. Right in this contest. O'REILLYS FLIGHT (3) is a two-start maiden who filled a minor placing at this circuit at the last run before spelling. Fitter following a trial win at Warwick and can kick off with a bold showing.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Magritte to break the maiden status.
3 06:49 COL WILKIE BODY WORKS Maiden Handicap 1200m
Genuine tempo with Grafting and Daiane leading the way. DAIANE (4) hit the frame here when facing the starter for the first time and will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience. Rider Tilley sticks in the irons and can play a role with natural improvement. FOXY ARTIST (3) resumes from a spell of three-and-a-half months. Could only manage to finish eighth at the latest run over 1635m at Grafton. Good effort to launch last prep when in the money at Grafton over 1115m and looks hard to beat if back in good order. TESTY NIC (8) has been freshened up since finishing seventh over 1400m at Ballarat Synthetic. Kept up to the mark with a recent Sunshine Coast trial placing. Former Victorian who makes plenty of appeal. MISS ELLYSE (10) will strip fitter second-up from the break and may earn some minor money.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Quinella 4,3,8.
4 07:24 SELECTED SEEDS STATHI KATSIDIS BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1200m
Solid tempo anticipated with Super Quick taking charge. ROTHGO (12) scored at Warwick two back then finished third, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 1300m at this track at the latest appearance two weeks ago. Hannah Richardson who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Has winning claims on best figures. KINGSLAND (18) has only missed a drum once in four attempts over this track and trip and looks a must for the exotics players. WORTHY ENUFF (10) is fresh from a 136-day break. Has won first-up before and always runs well when fresh so worth consideration here. IRAMA (6) is a hit and miss type who improved last start to finish second over 1300m at this track. Include.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Trifecta 12,18,10,6.
5 08:02 COOPER COMMERCIAL RACE CALLERS CUP BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1650m
Solid tempo likely with Sir Goldalot, Touch Of Gracie and Bole Le prominent. AUTUMN GALE (8) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third last time when he was prominent throughout over 1400m at Rockhampton. Looks the runner in this line-up with the most upside and is a likely improver with strong prospects. PLAYFUL PUZZLE (11) found the line nicely to grab third last time out over 1625m at this track. Has a win and three placings at this journey from seven starts and shapes as one of the main contenders. BOLE LE (2) was just out of the money two runs back then again just missed the frame last start over 1625m at this circuit, beaten 4.5 lengths into fourth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time. BIG BOY GEORGE (1) drifted back and never threatened when seventh last start over 1640m here. Looks well placed against this field so expect a better run this time.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Autumn Gale to salute.
6 08:34 EMPIRE OF JAPAN Maiden Plate 1650m
Moderate tempo expected with Cori Veru likely to find the front over Langdown Legacy and Gypsy Joy. WINGEANDWIN (9) wasn't too far away finishing sixth at her latest appearance over 1680m at Ipswich and will be at peak fitness for this. Rates among the top chances in what looks a more suitable race. ROSE OF CHANTILLY (7) was in the betting last time out but didn't live up to market expectations, finishing fourth over 1500m at Kilcoy. Where there's smoke there's fire and looks to be in the right race to play a big role. SHRIMPTON (8) placed over this track and trip last time out and gets in well at the weights with the 1.5kg claim. Top-three credentials. LANGDOWN LEGACY (1) finished third last start over 1300m at this track, 3.5 lengths from the winner. In the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 9,7,8,1.
