HOTEL VICTORIA AND MIDWEST CONVEYOR & BELTING SERVICES CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE 1820m
Vasala to take charge ahead of Numbersneverseen at a solid tempo. VASALA (3) finished sixth last time out over 1600m at Corowa after being in the firing line on the bend a week-and-a-half ago as $2 favourite. Tackles a longer journey this time. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Tough to beat. MISIL BEAUTY (8) finished a close up sixth over 1590m at Wangaratta on soft going and gets some weight relief here. Well placed today and should be in the finish. BRAVO SIX (4) chipped away late first up over the 1600m when fifth at Corowa. Was in the placings at his only other second-up run. Sound top-three prospects.CANOLA WAY (5) likely to add some value, if he can improve on his Gundagai performance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Vasala has a host of gear changes and looks well placed for this. |

THANK YOU CAN ASSIST GRIFFITH MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
Inquisitrix is expected to lead at a strong tempo. FLYING BETTY (5) got well back over 1400m at Wagga last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 16 lengths away in twelfth. This is a nice drop in grade and is perfectly placed to score. PIPPIE POMAR (8) started at $2.45 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth over 1300m at Toowoomba. Well placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. SOME COMFORT (9) stepped out on her debut over 1000m at Wangaratta three weeks ago and finished eighth. Should be thereabouts from the good gate. BACKFLIPS (10) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when tenth over 900m at Corowa. Suitably placed and can turn things around. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 5,8,9,10. |

GRIFFITH BEARINGS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200m
Solid tempo with Smart Asset leading from Kulina and Simone's Choice. GOLDEN WARRIOR (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten tenth in a 1400m contest at Canberra eight days ago. Perfectly placed and is sure to go close. KULINA (11) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at Ballarat Synthetic, beaten 5.5 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. ROULLOTTIE (9) faded right out of it last time over 1200m at Canberra after showing good early speed and leading for much of the way, eventually finishing sixth. Will give a sight. TALUK (5) was beaten 4 lengths into sixth over 1000m at Canberra eight days ago. Well placed and can take a hand in the finish this time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 3,11,9,5. |

GRIFFITH EXIES CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1350m
Good pace from Siyaasi, Prince Of Love and Rasloc going forward. MEMPHIS TENNESSEE (4) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on May 8, finishing sixth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1600m at Canberra. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. SIYAASI (1) was well in commission last start over 1400m at Albury when third, beaten 6 lengths. Goes well over this trip, filling a placing at all four starts, including a win and has to be respected. ANCHOR DOWN (2) is back from a break of six months. Raced below par at his only appearance last prep when eleventh over 1200m at Yarra Valley. Settles back early but winds up late. Can take a hand in the finish. FOUR ESSES (9) scored her maiden win last time out at Narrandera and is looking an each-way chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Memphis Tennessee each-way. |

DAHLSENS FOR THE BUILDER GRIFFITH CUP 1350m
Epaullo Creed has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. EAMONN'S MEMORY (3) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1200m at Wagga after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Has the talent to produce another positive result. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (5) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then got a long way back last start when 5.5 lengths away in tenth over 1300m at Canberra. Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. A BOY NAMED SOO (7) got well back over 1400m at Corowa last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 9 lengths away in sixth. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. BOY FROM TENNESSEE (8) had been in top form landing two consecutive wins but last start missed the frame when fourth over 1200m at Corowa. Backmarker who gets home hard. Solid claims on best form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 3,5,7,8. |

MOBIL - F & RN MCNABB BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1000m
Mr Pointer and Blessing Season possess good early speed. TIME ANGEL (2) has been thereabouts lately without being able to break through, the latest effort a third at Corowa over 1200m. This looks a nice race for him to return to the winners' stall. BLESSING SEASON (6) finished tenth over 1200m at Berrigan at her most recent appearance on March 14. Has found the right race and is worth including. MONSOON REINS (4) was handy in the run last time out before fading late to finish eighth over this trip at Pakenham Synthetic. Deserves another chance. MR POINTER (7) bounced back to form with a second place run at Cobar after a less than encouraging eighth at Louth two back. Further improvement can see him in the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Time Angel to break through. |
