GASTON (6) found the frame two back in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata then again ran a good race to finish second last time out, beaten one length, in a maiden steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura. Showed ability over the jumps last time in. This looks an ideal race to launch the campaign. HORTOBAGY (2) has not raced since he finished 6 lengths away in fifth on the flat over 2000m at Fukushima on June 27. Takes on the jumps for the first time. Sure to be competitive. TWO M KHRONOS (7) last raced when he was beaten 17 lengths into tenth over 2000m on the flat at Chukyo two months ago. First try at the jumps. Anticipating a bright start to the new phase of his career.

MASU RYUO (7) wasn't far away on debut last start over 2000m at Chukyo, finishing fourth and beaten 1.5 lengths. Has ability and must be respected. KEIAI TORINO (1) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 1.5 lengths from the winner in third over 2000m at Chukyo. Among the chances.

Likely improver with strong prospects. JUN VAGNER (2) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt, beaten 14 lengths. Nicely placed to take this out. AWAJISHIMA (6) ran a fair race on debut last time out, beaten 25 lengths into seventh over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt on August 22. Fitter and is one of the chances. GOLD SHOOTER (3) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 18 lengths when sixth over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt two weeks ago after being in the firing line on the bend. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time.

TENDER WORDS (2) did her best work late to finish third at big odds at her latest appearance at Chukyo over 2000m. Backmarker who gets home hard. One of the leading chances. FALANGHINA (9) has been kept fresh for this since a disappointing seventh last start over 2000m at Niigata seven weeks ago. Forgive the last run; in the mix. ASTER DIVA (17) is a six-start maiden who has been in the money at her last couple of runs, the latest when second over 1600m at this track. Should settle just off the speed despite the draw. Deserves respect on best figures.

SUEHIRO BELIEVE (2) is a two-year-old colt who was purchased for JPY ¥ 24,200,000 (Japan Sales 2025 Hokkaido Selection Sale Yearlings). Top jockey Ryusei Sakai aboard. Look for forward showing in this field, one of the chances. AGLIANICO (4) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Tatsuya Yoshioka. By Al Ain from Barbaresco. Expected to feature. AYANO (10) is a well bred two-year-old filly making her first appearance at the races. By Saturnalia from the quality mare Etoile who has produced a winner at stakes level. Should be thereabouts despite a tricky barrier.

Looks to be in the right race to play a big role. NAMURA RODIN (4) finished third last time out over 1200m at this track, making it seven career minor placings. Has a solid record at this track, finishing in the top-three four times. Overdue for a win. An inside gate is a big advantage. Winning prospects.

Debut winner then raced in stakes class next two. Anticipating a bright start to this prep. DANON THAMES (11) comes here off a break of nine weeks. Scored over 1800m at this track to launch the last campaign. Has found a suitable race and is worth including.

TAGANO MAKASIH YA (13) returned from a spell five weeks ago when he was beaten 5.5 lengths into seventh over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Has never missed the frame second up. Mirai Iwata gets the best out of this four-year-old entire. Likely improver with strong prospects. LUX FRENZY (15) resumes in a similar race to his only run last prep back on June 21 when fourth, beaten 4.5 lengths. Looks a strong top-three prospect.

GIOVANNI (15) closed off strongly last start to get up for second, beaten half a length, over 2000m at Kokura when returning from a break. Commendable record at this trip with a win and five minor placings and in the same class can go one better. MATENRO GALE (9) is a handy type who resumes. At his last appearance he finished fifth over 2400m in the G1 Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby), beaten 2 lengths. Won only try course and distance and placed 2/2 when fresh. Key runner. MAGLIA IRIDATA (11) was unbeaten from three runs last campaign and yet to miss the frame in eight runs. Excels fresh and should be right in the finish. KALAMATIANOS (8) was popular when resuming last start over 2000m in the G3 Tanabata Sho at Fukushima but finished seventh, beaten 7 lengths. Has a decent second up record. Likely improver.

HIRUNO PUGLIA (13) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second when resuming last start over 1200m at Chukyo Dirt. Has placed four on end including 2/2 here. Take catching. STAR FUSION (14) is a promising filly who p[laced on debut then got off the mark last time before a break. Should park just off the speed. Will play a major role. BISCUIT ASSORT (16) was last at the races when he finished third over 1400m at this track on June 21. Can make his presence felt. ARMS LEGEND (8) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing eighth over 1200m at this track three months ago which was the only run of that prep. Has a strong fresh record including a win and one minor placings. Has a high cruising speed. Don't underestimate.
