NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:23 GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB RATINGS BAND 0 - 65 Handicap 1615m
Good pace headed by Divil A Bit, Always A Rainbow and Almanzas, with Data Leak and Alfa Dundee close by. SLIPSAIN (11) has been knocking on the door for a little while now and doesn’t have to improve much to finally land the winning blow. Gets in well with Williams’ claim, who’s in red-hot touch. Ready. FLAXLANDS (12) is a consistent mare and reunites with Maloney, who got the job done aboard three back. Yet to tackle this trip but is an obvious threat. ZAHER (4) has run himself into form and backs up quickly. Trip suits and the 3kg claim gets him in well. Don’t underestimate. ALWAYS A RAINBOW (13) savaged the line fresh and then scored stylishly last time at Tamworth. Progressive mare that can raise the bar again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Slipsain to win.
2 11:58 BECOME A BRC MEMBER BENCHMARK 85 Handicap 2020m
The Right Way, Divine Purpose and Felix The Scat can set up a solid gallop. Good contest. DIAMOND SHOW (9) is in career-best touch and has put two on the bounce in style. Gets in light again with the slight rise in grade and can bring up the hat-trick. LIVALITTLE (3) is another in red-hot touch this prep and could easily be 4/4. Also benefits from a claim, and it’s 3 of the best from talented apprentice Bella Youngberry. BATTLETON (6) has always shown glimpses of ability but is forever running on. Hasn’t seen a trip beyond a mile but gets a look now - could be what he’s wanted the whole time. CAVALRY MAN (1) is a handy stayer in good touch and more than capable of knocking them off.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Each-way saver Battleton.
3 12:33 XXXX BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1615m
A solid tempo on the cards with Aratiri taking charge. PERFECT PLAY (4) doesn’t win out of turn but is as consistent as they come. Gets a good pull at the weights with Houston’s claim and the blinkers go on. Makes a strong case. MOONSHINE RUN (10) caught the eye last time at Eagle Farm when making up a stack of ground late. Gets in a treat with Youngberry’s 3kg claim and is drawn kinder. Big threat. BARBRAY (11) has hit the ground running up in QLD and finds another suitable contest. Concedes weight to a few key dangers but is drawn to settle closer. BLUEPINOT (8) is ticking along nicely and doesn’t have to improve much to be in the finish. Maloney sticking is a good push. LAST COMMAND (2) has been okay in his two runs back and will only be further improved. Worth noting apprentice Jai Williams is in red-hot touch.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Perfect Play gets the nod. Saving on Moonshine Run.
4 01:08 DRINKWISE OPEN Handicap 1615m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Capital Asset leading the way. CUNNAMULLA FELLA (5) has returned in career-best touch this campaign and loves racing here. Gets a good pull at the weights over a few of his main dangers and draws the A1. Won’t get too many better chances. NAILS MURPHY (7) made a strong return here three weeks ago when only warming late. Has a lot more to offer and Youngberry’s 3kg claim could well prove the difference late. EXPRESS PAYMENT (1) is unbelievably consistent and is getting placed to perfection. Terrific record here and is sure to give his all but has to lug the big weight. CAPITAL ASSET (8) was too bad to be true last time at Eagle Farm but can bounce back sharply on the quick turnaround and give plenty of cheek in front. YET HE MOVES (2) will be hoping they overdo it in front so he can launch late - which he could well and truly do.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Cunnamulla Fella gets the nod ahead of Nails Murphy.
5 01:43 CBT Colts, Geldings and Entires BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1110m
Silent Call and Gram possess good early speed. MEAN APPROACH (1) hasn’t done much wrong this campaign and comes through some great form races. Draws well for in-form apprentice Williams and is sure to be right there at the business end. FACUNDO (3) made the perfect return here when getting the bob and progressed well second up when placing in a tougher grade. Will find this a bit easier third up and should be hitting his straps. Pozman’s 3kg claim helps further. Impossible to knock the form of GRAM (5), who shoots for six straight but will need to raise the bar again. ABENDER (13) was too bad to be true first up and has been kept fresh with 42 days in between. Can improve sharply. PROVANCE (14) is building nicely and sets up well for this down in the weights.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Mean Approach to win. Wary of Facundo.
6 02:23 SPRING RACING CARNIVAL ON SALE NOW Fillies and Mares BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1110m
Strong tempo primarily from Spiethtacular, Cindersea and Dominant Darcy over Just Precious and Bonfire Spark. SPIETHTACULAR (11) was poised to pounce here first up but cost herself after racing unkindly throughout. Better with that run under her belt and gets a key switch to Jones. Can go one better. DOMINANT DARCY (3) is a progressive mare resuming and a noted winner. Has been fitted with three trials and should be ready to run a big race. CINDERSEA (2) boasts similar formlines to Darcy and is unbeaten at this track. Just the one trial in readiness and gets in well at the weights with Youngberry’s 3kg claim. BONFIRE SPARK (1) carries a fitness edge and only needs to hold her form to be right there at the pointy end again. JUST PRECIOUS (7) returns and boasts peaks that measure up, though she may need this off just one soft 850m trial.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Spiethtacular to win.
7 02:58 SKY RACING BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1350m
Strong pace from Rimbaud, Stanislaus and Listen Jani from their low draws. MELDUBIOUS (6) was a strong winner two back at Eagle Farm and followed it up with a close finish here last time. Has been kept fresh with a month between runs and will prove hard to beat if he holds his form. Can't fault LISTEN JANI (15)'s efforts as she shoots for four straight but she will need to raise the bar again. Will be in this for a long way from the cosy draw. HEADHUNTER (18) has been savaging the line throughout this campaign. Peaking now and if the pace is genuine he can round them up. RIMBAUD (4) was nabbed on the line here at the midweeks last month when leading them into the lane. Should bounce straight the front from his inside draw and give them something to catch again. STARMAN (14) has improved with each run this campaign. Fought on bravely into the placings after being sent forward at Eagle Farm. Should be nearing his peak now but is drawn sticky.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Meldubious to win.
8 03:33 HIGGINS COATINGS BENCHMARK 85 Handicap 1350m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Castillian. ZOUPER FUND (8) is yet to strike through this prep but is knocking on the door and gets his chance to strike. Rock-hard fit now and gets in a treat with Williams’ 2kg claim. Ready. TORNADO EXPRESS (12) is ticking along in good order and sets up well for this down on the minimum. Should land in a handy spot behind the early pace and prove a handful to hold out at the featherweight. It’s worth forgiving SIR ARTIE (1) after getting way too far back at Rosehill last time. His three prior runs are all capable of taking this out and Houston’s claim helps. HOPPER (10) flashed home fresh at Eagle Farm, then got the job done stylishly at the Sunny Coast second up. Was left with too much to do last time back at EF but was strong to the line. The rise in trip looks perfect for him fourth up. BLAZING HARRY (7) knuckled down strongly to stick his neck out and reward supporters here last time. Keeps Youngberry’s claim and gets his chance to repeat the dose.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Slight lean to Zouper Fund.
9 04:12 CENTURY POOLS QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1110m
Plenty of pressure with Compel, Why Wait and Run Like A Girl leading the charge. HUGGIE (13) rode a hot speed here on debut three weeks ago and fought on gamely on the inside to hold second. Better for that and can get the job done this time at the featherweight. UNLOADING (3) returns and has been fitted with a smart trial win. Plenty to like about his debut campaign too - last seen tackling G3 company at the Gold Coast. Bright return anticipated. ERIMAR (12) has been thereabouts in his first two starts and should be hitting his straps now, and Philpot’s claim could see her get as light as 49.5kg. Big watch. COMPEL (6) fired up a treat prior to her debut win here at the midweeks. Led pillar-to-post then and will likely be looking to repeat the dose.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Huggie to win.
10 04:48 LADBROKES OWNERS PROMOTION OPEN Handicap 1110m
A strong gallop is likely with Band Of Brothers and Cherry Rose taking up the running, closely attended by Power Of The Brave and Epic Proportions. FLEETWOOD (4) has been good in his two runs back and should be hitting his straps now on the quick back-up. Gets in well at the weights with the rise in grade and is a distance specialist. Bold showing anticipated. POLYGLOT (6) was a good winner at Rosehill two back but couldn’t quite follow it up when sent out favourite at Eagle Farm two weeks ago. Draws cosy on the inside and if he brings his best he’ll take plenty of stitching. BAND OF BROTHERS (1) has been freshened and will be looking for a solid hit-out before he heads to try and conquer the mountain (Kozzy) next month. Certainly good enough to take care of them under the big weight. EPIC PROPORTIONS (2) has mixed his form since resuming but has the peaks to give this a big shake. Youngberry’s 3kg claim strengthens his case if he brings his A-game. POWER OF THE BRAVE (7) has been below his best since resuming but has been freshened for 35 days. Holds genuine claims on best form and is one to keep safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Fleetwood to win.
