NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:38 LADBROKES SWITCH RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 Handicap 1100m
In a small field either Chalkley or Gotta Hero will find the front. HARBOUR CHILL (1) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when fourth over 1100m at Rockhampton, beaten 3 lengths. Has the talent to figure prominently. GOTTA HERO (2) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when seventh, beaten 18 lengths, over 1090m at Bundaberg. Should be peaking now and is among the main hopes. CHALKLEY (7) has not won for a long while. Last raced on September 3 when beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth at this track over 1200m after being in the firing line on the corner. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. WATCHYA LANGUAGE (6) has solid claims first-up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Harbour Chill can get the win here.
2 02:18 SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC QTIS Maiden Plate (3YO & Up) 1100m
Strong tempo to be established by Elegant Venus, Our Last Chance and Cheers Honey. NICCO NOTA FIGHTER (11) showed good early speed from the inside draw when fresh from a spell last time out, leading for home before finding one better over 950m at Cairns. Well-placed and will take catching. WAVE DANCER (9) resumes from a spell of three-and-a-half months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 1280m at Canberra Acton. Placed in a recent trial. Nicely placed and expected to go well. ELEGANT VENUS (4) is in fine form, filling a minor placing again last start over 1100m at this track to make it five top-three finishes on the trot. Drawn out but should be in the finish again. HOPE TO HEAVEN (5) is on debut. By I Am Invincible and is out of the Lachie Manzelmann stable. A good gate is sure to assist. Pay to watch for any positive betting moves.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 11,9,4.
3 02:52 WORLD WIDE CABLES BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1200m
Expecting a strong pace from the outset with plenty of speed engaged. SUPID DATE (6) has been in the placings her past two starts, finishing second over 1200m at this track last time out. Nathan Thomas goes well on this four-year-old and is back on top today. Leading contender. KAFFIR LILY (3) has been in the market at her last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start finishing fifth over 1800m at Sunshine Coast. Rates highly on best figures. MARAVILLAS (4) has been in the market at his last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start finishing eighth over 1400m at Birdsville. Likely improver worth including. SPEC OF SILVER (7) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing sixth at this track over 1200m after being in the firing line on the bend. Has the ability to take this out.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Supid Date to break through.
4 03:27 HELLERMANN TYTON Class 6 Plate (3YO & Up) 1050m
Expecting Admitted to take up the running with Woodstock Rock and Sailor's Rum close at hand. WOODSTOCK ROCK (4) resumed over 1000m at Emerald last start and was too good for his rivals, scoring by 3 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement and another win looks on the cards. ADMITTED (3) was in the placings when a length away from the winner last time at Cairns and gets some weight relief here. Should be prominent from the outset. Sure to be in the finish. CONTEMPORARY (1) wound up strongly only to just miss as favourite last start over 1300m at this track. This is the right race and he can get the job done. SAILOR'S RUM (2) was denied the hat-trick last time out when second at Thangool. In the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Woodstock Rock to go back-to-back.
5 04:02 MM ELECTRICAL MACKAY BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1800m
Expecting a moderate pace headed by Shiny Love and I Want It All. SHINY LOVE (3) continued the great form last start, scoring by 1.3 lengths at this track over today's trip. Can go on with it. I WANT IT ALL (6) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 1560m at this track, scoring by half a length. Shaping up nicely and she is definitely worth including. BATEMANS BAY (2) finished second two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by a nose over 2000m at Townsville. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. MR SHORTY (1) has been beaten by some wide margins of late, most recently when eighth over 1560m at this track. Small field and can contest for a place.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Shiny Love on top.
6 04:42 HP & CP AUSTRALIA BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1300m
Expecting Unifies to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. UNIFIES (5) didn't do a bad job when fifth last start after being in contention on the bend over 1000m at Townsville, beaten 1.4 lengths. That followed a win at Cairns the start prior. Won't find this as tough so he is a leading contender. THE EXTREME CAT (1) scored a barnstorming win last start over 1300m at this track, coming from the tail to get up by a nose. Brings the right form to this race so he is certainly one to consider. SIR ROCKET (3) closed off nicely when beaten 2 lengths last time here. In the mix. THE DRILLER (2) scored three runs back but has been disappointing in two subsequent efforts, the latest when fifth over 1560m at this track. Can feature on best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: The Extreme Cat each-way.
